Dental implants in our dental practice in Munich Waldtrudering - a breakthrough in modern dentistry

In the last few decades, dental implants have rightly gained a firm place in modern dentistry - also in our dental practice in Munich Waldtrudering.

Implants can be used to replace lost teeth and achieve an optical result that hardly differs from nature.

In addition to the optical and functional restoration of individual missing teeth, dental implants also serve to firmly anchor loose dentures again. This gives patients a better quality of life when they can finally bite firmly again.

Implants are a focus of our practice in Munich

The insertion and treatment of dental implants is a focal point of our dental practice in Munich. Dr. Franz Schlamminger successfully completed the specialist training "Curriculum Implantology" with the certification examination and was thus recognized by the German Society for Implantology in the Dental, Oral and Maxillofacial Field e.V. (DGI) as particularly qualified to insert implants as dental prostheses in all areas of the jaw.

When are implants actually inserted?

Implants are made of pure titanium or zirconium dioxide ceramic. Both materials have long proven themselves in medicine because they are very well accepted by the body ("biocompatible").

Dental implants are carefully inserted into the jawbone during a small operation (similar to a screw). They then have to heal for between four and six months before they can be loaded. Depending on the individual situation, immediate implantation is also possible.

Today, implants can be used to replace single or multiple teeth. In addition, fixed and removable dentures (partial or complete dentures) can be given a firm hold.

We offer the following implant treatments in our dental practice in Munich Waldtrudering:

Single tooth implant

An immediate implantation may be necessary after tooth loss due to an accident or a root fracture (breakage). In this case, the implant (screw) is inserted into the bone immediately after the tooth has been removed. This is followed by the restoration with a temporary (not final crown). After a healing period of 3-6 months, the definitive crown is placed.

If the tooth has a chronic inflammation, the inflammation should first heal for 6 weeks before implantation can take place. Of course, we will take care that you wear a temporary restoration during this time so that your aesthetics are not affected.

Firm hold of a total denture in the upper or lower jaw with implants

If a total denture does not hold firmly enough on the mucous membrane during eating and speaking, it can be given a firm hold with the help of implants. The connection between the prosthesis and the implants is made by a bar, push buttons or telescopes.

Implants for the replacement of several teeth or for abutment augmentation

Implants can also be used to replace several teeth. It is even possible to fill large gaps with implants.

The restoration of completely edentulous jaws with fixed dentures is also possible if there is enough bone available or after extensive bone augmentation measures.

The planning of an implant restoration takes place in a separate session with us. We answer your questions and initiate the necessary preparatory measures.
